I agree. In fact, I would say my woronowii leaves are almost apple-green and quite shiny.

Anthony ,

the leaves of ssp. snogerupii are also apple green !

please look :

http://www.srgc.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1599.0

But there is a methode to see clear what is what :

....there is a really simply method to see the difference between the species of G.ikariae and woronowii :
take a leaf and cut it - on the ikariae leaves you will see cells ( big enough to see it with the eye ) -woronowii has this sign not !

this works also if you have no flowers !

The leaves of my snogerupii seedlings (just one per seedling) fit this description and are quite shiny too.

Thanks for all the info.  I'll have a good look when I see mine in flower again in around July.  Seems SO far away..... still months even until the autumn species.  :o  I'm in withdrawal.  :'(
Cheers.

I see on Ebay there are no takers for the Galanthus bulbils. Other snowdrops about to end look like they are going for normal value. Time will tell as the last minute goes

The other way

Matt says
ikariae is medium to dark green
woronowii light to medium green

I just noticed this thread and thought you may be interested in pics of my ikariae ssp ikariae.  I had the seed of this from the AGS years ago
