You're a brave woman, Jo  ;)

Somehow the photos of the frosting on these young shoots elicits sympathy that the shots of the fabulous sugar frosted coatings on overwintering stems and trees, shown to such acclaim in other threads, does not. With those shots I really am moved just by the aesthetic qualities of the scene, but here I find myself more inclined  to fear for the health of those frozen shoots. I hasten to add that this is NOT a particular depth of feeling engendered for the snowdrops alone... I would feel the same concern for any wee shoot.
I am  not suffering now, nor have I ever suffered, from White Fever.  ;D

Doesn't really grab me. Apart from the obvious one (that is beyond my reach) in that post, I like 'Ballerina'.

Just checked the book. It looks much more better and in the cold light of day I can say I have changed my mind. :)

That's a relief Anthony, I wondered what had happened when you said it wasn't up to much ;)

That was interesting ..... Ebay is still a slow as it was over the holiday period... I'd hoped it would have speeded up again by now.
First thing in appear cyclamen search was CGW's book, The genus Cyclamen, found his Poppies book too, as well as other editions of Cyclamen title.

I have found that Ebay is a rich vein to be mined for Cyclamen lovers, as well as Galanthophiles... for instance, I am thinking of bidding on this fabulous specimen... a brand new colour break for the genus which I think is very exciing.... I am sure that it is not mentioned in even the newest editions of CGW books  ::)

I take it this one ranks as a form of vitreous humour?

Dear me, this is not the enthusiastic reception I think the seller had anticipated for his discovery..... ah well, I suppose the unusual is often spurned at first.... fear of the unknown etc   ::)

Are you sure it's not an erythronium? (sits back and waits for the wrath of Maggi to strike).  ;D

Jo's ikariae ssp ikariae seed from the AGS list 36 1988 was garden-collected.

It was a good year - corcyrensis was also offered, and I don't think I've seen
it listed any other time.

Well done, Diane, that's great to find that out.   I gues either 1) you are the donor, or 2) you never throw anything away??       whatever,  Thank you!
