I'm not sure that this Wurzelwurm wants to grow the  snowies... I think he may want to eat them......
Wurzelwurm translates as   root-worm...which I suppose is an eelworm or nematode.... those expensive snowies could be in for a horrible death.....or a good life in the garden of a collector with a sense of humour!  ::)

I have Clovis, obtained from Joe Sharman. Correction; I am waiting for Clovis to put in an appearance.

"Sumptus censum ne superet" , Anthony..... always good advice........ perhapswe should send it to the ebayer buying all those snowdrops at great expense?

Are you worried yet that your 'Clovis' is not showing, Steve? Up here in Aberdeen we have hardly any drops through the soil at all so far , so I won't be anxious about any "missing" for quite some time yet.

Maggie
85% of my varieties are through. I'm relaxed about the 15% because the cold snap kept everything back, and because one variety has to be first and one last. But among the 15% are some that cost a certain amount of money and one doesn't cheerfully contemplate spending again if a replacement proves necessary.
Other contributors have talked about losing certain varieties and trying unsuccessfully to grow them again.  I tell myself that I won't have that problem but that's probably the optimism of youth. The one I most wanted to see peeping above ground is "Trumps" and thank heavens it's back.

I have to agree Steve, I have been waiting with baited breath to see 'Wasp' emerge, thankfully it put in an appearance yesterday, as Ann Borrill had just told me hers was in flower ten minutes down the road!

So how many of us have bought snowdrops on ebay ??
Were there only the three of us putting up our hands?

No, I am not as I would not buy any of those snowdrops for such high prices (especially not for bulbils...). I am not stupid. :P ;)
