I have to agree with David, we spent nearly as much time in the collection as we did in the rest of the gardens!

I'll probably go..I live about 3-4 miles away. I have a few holes in my saxafrage trough I'd like to fill. I think some even got grazed off by snails/slugs.
I may remember the camera, they have covered tufa beds with the saxes in.

We are visiting Waterperry on Tuesday 24 March, we thought it would be less crowded than on the Open Day.

Will you be able to get in to see the Saxes? That area is out of bounds usually..

Mmmmmmmmm. We were last at Waterperry in July and covered the whole of the Garden including the Sax area although at that time of the year there wasn't a lot to see of the Saxes. I'd just assumed that we would be able to do the same again, perhaps I'd better give them a ring and ask? Thanks for letting me know.

From an Email received from Waterperry this morning:-
"The Saxifrge area is laid out so it is an integral part of the garden for any visitor paying the normal garden entry"
Guess that means I should be able to see it on the 24 March.

hi, yes I'm just back from there and I asked. I must have missed the way in to that part, so you may need to ask..I think you get to it just as you complete the garden tour.
