Snowdrop day at Brechin Castle

Hi everybody, I hope all your journals have arrived and you are busy reading or at least looking at the superb pictures.  We have a special Snowdrop day for SRGC members at Brechin Castle on 1st March, this is a Sunday and yes it seemed late in the year when planned but now we have winter again probably a wise move. The day will cost £25. which includes an excellent lunch  in the Castle with a digital show 'Some recent Snowdrop finds in Angus' then a walk amongst millions of Galanthus nivalis and a look at Galanthus plicatus alongside G nivalis where several hybrids also grow. 192 long slow miles, Mark! At least 4 and a half hours drive, I would think.
Aberdeen Airport would be closest , I think.

Mrs More, (I can't get used to such formality) ...
My Journal arrived safe and sound on 3rd February ... so statistically, Lancashire is one day further away from Scotland than New Zealand! (... and much of it downhill)!
It appears that the cartographers have got it all wrong?

Dear Mark, Maggie has answered you question and I agree Aberdeen is nearest, at the moment plenty snowdrops in large lumps not the flowering kind just wet slushy kind. Cliff dare I say everything is downhill from where you are,  cheers Ian the Christie kind.
