Hello everybody

Does someone know what kind of soil Narcissus cyclamineus needs.
I know that it wants a acid soil but what are the ingredients (peat or loam or sand)

We grow Narcissus cyclamineus very happily in a mix of 2 parts sandy loam, 1 part leaf mould and 2 parts 6mm grit - our laom is slightly acid.
It also grows well in our garden beds is the natural soil which is a sandy loam.
It likes moisture at all times and I suspect it does not like to get too hot and dry in the summer months, that is probably why it likes our garden in north east Scotland.

I have some on the north side of the house where they get a few hours of sun each day.  Soil is sandy loam with bark mulch on top.  I feed them with lime and bone meal every spring.  They have been naturalizing there since 1987, and look happy.  They must be protected from slugs.
