Lobelia dortmanna & Donatia sp.
« on: February 15, 2009, 05:59:39 PM »
Hello everybody,
I am new to this list, but I am a experienced grower of mainly terrestrial orchids, carnivorous plants and bulbs.
I am searching for Lobelia dortmanna and Donatia species (there are only two of them). Is anybody out there who is growing that stuff and can provide me with seeds or plants?
thank you & best greetings,
massonia

Well we in New Zealand have a Donatia species so perhaps you could try Ross Graham for seeds. Ross posts on the Forum occasionally and a search here should give you his web-site or references to his seed list.

.....and the Lobelia is listed in the RHS Plantfinder for Auchgourish Gardens.
They don't list the plant on their website as being currently available, but guess they might be able to help out if you contact them.

Well, I am deeply impressed, that you could find seed sources so quickly! Thank you very much!
Maybe there is also a member from Patagonia to help me with Donatia magellanica?  ;D
Thanks a lot for the links, Maggi!
with best greetings from the Austrian Alps!
