Tsusiophyllum (Rhododendron) tanakae
« on: March 05, 2009, 05:07:47 AM »
Anyone growing Tsusiophyllum?

Many, many years ago I saw a potted plant of it in a local plantsman's garden, but with his death it's probably no longer in cultivation here.

Hi Rodger,  we grew it for a  few years in a pot, even had it on the showbench a couple of times but it was a bit diasappointing as some kind on insect made a hole in all the flowers to get to the goodies.

Rodger , after 30 years my plant of Tsusiophyllum tanakae is now about 80 cm tall and a little
leggy , rather too tall for the Rockgarden .-must renew by taking cuttings , it is such an easy
plant to grow.
