First: my favourite 3 plants of the show.

2. Berneuxia yunnanensis

2. Ozothamnus selago
3. Ozothamnus microphylla

2. Saxifraga 'Coolock Kate' (need sun glasses for this one....it was so bright)

It looks like a fantastic day, David.  Thanks for posting the pics, I don't know where you found the time to take them, with a Show secretary's hat on, and exhibitor.
I think modesty prevents David from saying who won the Farrer, but as Maggi says, there's often a clue  and although I can't read the exhibitor's card, I can see it was part of a six pan entry of saxifragas, so I guess congratulations are due to you David.

Yes, many congratulations to David for a well-deserved Farrer Medal.  Looks an excellent show - shame we can't experience both our  events, David?  (Though perhaps we can through the marvels of the internet)?

Looks a super show .... as did the Dunblane and East Lancs.... just think how many plants must have been winging their way around the country this weekend to provide these great displays!

My thanks too Giles and David for these marvellous pictures, a very tasty taste of a super Show in Kent. It surprises me a little to see you wishing for another very cold winter David, and soon at that but I suppose the very chilly conditions in the northern hemisphere this year have been the trigger for such brilliant floral displays on saxifrages and dionysias, among other lovely things. So anything can be endured for the sake of the plants.

A pleasure to see NZ helichrysums (Ozothamnus species) looking so good, so far from home.
