Luit,
ther are some fascinating and fantastic flowers amongst these liliums!
The scent must've also been incredible in an indoor setting!
thanks again for sharing them with us.
cheers

Great batch of lilies. I enjoy them a lot. They also do fairly well with me in Portugal the mixed hybrids at least.
David the beastly beetles are fairly easy to kill if one start early in the season and just keeps after the small larvae that eat the foliage straight of the beetles just makes some holes so not good for showing but not a great garden problem. It is their larvae that is the problem. People have tried to use products used against ants on the ground and just shake the lilies so that the beetles fall into it and also the larvae.
I just hunt and kill them and so far very successfully in Portugal. After the first storm I KILLED MOST most of the adults but some had laid eggs that became larvae but those are easily killed so the last two month have not had more.
Do not give up see it as a sport (they even scream).
All the best

In the same pavillion was since last Sunday a special Show from the Wakefield Tulip Society.
All the exhibits were displayed in beer bottles, which were packed in crates and driven
to Holland overnight, after the yearly Wakefield Tulip Show (I believe?) on Saturday before.

Many visitors were very impressed to see these old flamed tulips in a special Show.

My goodness me! Just when I thought I was relaxed to all the delights that might be shown us from Keukenhof, there appears a display of ancient tulips from an ancient tulip socitey in England! Well I was NOT expecting that!! Wonderful!!

Four days before Keukenhof closed, it rained very heavily during the night before.
Many flowers suffered of course by that but there was still a lot to see in the garden.
I made a few pictures, mostly of interesting ancient tulips in the Historic Garden.

I hope our visit did enjoy you.

If there is interest, I made some pictures of Art, shown throughout the whole garden,
then I could show them here too?

Luit,

Dank voor het tonen van de foto's. De beelden van tulpen waren uitzonderlijk. Natuurlijk, hield ik werkelijk van de Maatschappij Wakefield!
