During the last week I made pictures outside in the park and inside in the
exhibition hall.
On the first picture it seems that a girl can walk on the water.
Then some park overviews and some pictures of planting combinations.

Luit,
thanks for posting.
All those lovely images are still quite very fresh in my memories.
Could not take any pictures due empty battery of camera when I was there last week.
Best wishes
Armin

Could not make a choice, so some are almost the same  :-\ :)

Luit your photos show a really stunning garden - amazing for someone who lives in dry grazing land.
I do love lathyrus -and you showed some pretty strong ones. I do prefer the smaller older varieties as in most plants.

Well, Luit, you will know how much I love to see such fabulous rhododendrons  8)   but I am speechless at these Lathyrus...... to see these in such glorious profusion at this time of year is just a joy. Another time when /I wish we could get the fragrance on our computers... the hall must have smelled delicious.

Luit having lived in Australia and thinking that I have been living in the bush too long I have not heard of Keukenhof Gardens so please excuse my ignorance when I ask if everything you have shown is grown IN the garden - the sweetpeas?? and staged exhibits???

Hi Pat, obviously Keukenhof Gardens did not manage to get to the Australian bush so far.
And they mean they are World Famous. (well, I thought so too  :-\ ;D

They appear quite a big attraction indeed. From the platform which I get my train from in Leiden most days I can see the bus stop for the Keukenhof. It's great to see all the happy and tired looking faces of all ages and nationalities getting off, and a new bunch jumping on. I'll have to get on that bus myself soon enough.

Such a great advertisement for these wonderful gardens, Luit, they ought to be paying you for this.  I've been spellbound, and now I want to make that trip.... maybe next year!

I am glad you all like this Thread!
Paul, you should not wait too long if you want to go there.
I was there today and in the garden still are many flowers, but one can see it's going
to an end slowly.
But if you want to see many lilies, then you might go from 16th May on.
The special Lily Parade promises to be a great spectacle.

Chris, one of the profits of being a pensioner is that I can go there real cheap.
We bought to   two tickets for the whole season and payed totally 80 Euro's and we (edit L.)
may go whenever we want with car parking inclusive.
A day ticket is 13.50 + 6 Eur. per person for parking !
Being payed by a free ticket would burden me with some duties, which I maybe don't like.
I rather be free! :D

Know just what you mean, Luit.... there are benefits to becoming a pensioner.  Here we get to ride all the public buses free.  I'm off on one tomorrow to a gardening talk in Newcastle about herbaceous potentillas.  The fare is £5 if you don't have a bus pass!  My membership to the RHS allows me access to the Alnwick Garden free until the end of April, but there isn't much to see there until now.  But there are concessions to other places, though not usually a lot.  They make most of their money from tourists don't they?
