Some pictures of Week 8 at Keukenhof.

Tulipa Triumph Gr. Rembrandt's Favourite

There is a special Historic Garden made, where a number of Tulips and other bulbs
are planted by Hortus Bulborum.

All beds are edged by Buxus, and some pergola's or trellis are planted with Akebia
and Wisteria.

What a truly remarkable place the Keukenhof is.... and how lucky we are to have Luit and Vroni visiting to bring us such a report of week after week...... we must be among the people who have seen the best of the place.... even as much as those who can visit each week ..... we are seeing SO MUCH! It is all a delight.... and I hope I am not the only one who thinks that the lovely rhododendrons and azaleas make a super addition to the bulbs?!!

Many visitors (an we too) are much impressed by beds with mixed tulips in the garden.
Here some examples:

These mixed tulips are very pleasing to the eye.  Near the mixed azaleas they are even more lovely.

During the last week that Keukenhof is open for the public, there is an enormous Lily Show in the
glasshouses.
Tomorrow is the last opening day. I was there last Sunday and made some pictures in the garden
which I will show later.
As it's very good weather here I spend most of the time outside in our garden, so picture
resizing, labelling and choosing which I show here comes second.
Here is the first batch of the Lily Show:

Lilium Show 01
Lilium Show 02
Lilium Show 03
Lilium El Divo 1
Lilium El Divo 2
Lilium Marlon
Lilium Show 04
Lilium Show 05
Lilium Tiger Woods 1

I enjoyed those Luit, thank you. Do you get Lily Beetles in Holland, I destroyed five of them today and doubt if I shall bother growing a few Lilies again?

David we use the Lillybeetle hammer for it ;D ;D

Great pics from the Lilliums Luit, i missed the asiatic orange hybride Caluroso, gives a fantastic huge strong plant with 5 to 6 flowers from only a size 14 bulb.
