Oh, Ian, how lovely, thank you! Please tell us who grew these wonderful plants? That Farrer winning H. nobilis is super. But so are these others, looks like it was a really nice show. Hope you enjoyed your day and thanks for taking the time and trouble to come home and post for us.

Just love the Asarum in the six pan, and the A. delavayi too. In great condition. And that Cyclamen mirabile......what foliage!  Have you an idea about the parentage of that fat pink Dionysia?  I love it!

Note from my Chum, the Newt, he tells me the fat pink dionysia is D. 'Chris Grey-Wilson', the parentage is D. viscidula x freitagii

John Gennard was the six pan but I forgot - old age - to make notes on the others and probably spent too much time talking.

If you are into Dionysias there were some large and purrrrfect plants

When Iget some more time I will try to post a few more

Well done, John G, for that lovely six pan.
Don't worry about the details, Ian, it is the plants that are most important ! Looking forward to more!

The lighting in the hall is bad and gives a strange colour  cast to some photos.
Asarum splendens - this also shown by John Gennard
Iris rosenbachiana - one of Jim Almond's splendid junos
A couple of Barry Tattersall's fantastic orchids
Anacamptis papilionacea heroica
Ophrys regis-fernandii

Bliss, Diane! Not a duffer amongst them. Did you have a good day? Car laden with silverware to drive home?

If I were choose one plant to sneak off under my jacket, it would be Barrie Tattersalls Anacamptis papilionacea
Thanks for sharing those show pics.

What a marvelous display !  Thanks a lot for sharing.

I suppose the Frit. davidii from Bob and Rannveig Wallis is the same shown in Harlow the week before where it won a CM ?

I hope we'll get to see even more pictures ! :D

I think that is the same Frit. davidii, Luc, it seems to be at the correct stage of progress from last week!

I just love that lime green Asarum, anybody know which species it is, please?

Yes, it is the same Frit davidii, I don't think anyone else has such a large potful!

It's Asarum trigynum album, "from the mountains of Southern Japan, an evergreen clump-forming species with patterned leaves.  It is related to A subglossum but with a more tubular flower."  (only knew that because I photographed the card of botanical information) - this was shown by Cecilia Coller in the new and rare section.
