Yes, Anne, I'm looking forward to coming to "Down in the Woods" too. I'll be booking my place as soon as I find out what the rates for the shoulder nights are.... no capacity to do that yet, online or with Pershore so I'm just hanging on.

Ian has had the pleasure of coming down to speak in the your area before and was royally entertained by the charming Bramleys .... sadly we see them only occasionally over the Border!
Great you all had a good day..... must say it rained on and off in Edinburgh.... mostly ON, of course when all the plants were going in and out!  :P  Flipping "Spring" weather!!

Many thanks to all those kind joint SRGC/AGS Members who post their photos and keep us in the loop of Southern activities  from our sister club.

A note, by the way, of reassurance to the SRGC/AGS Member in Edinburgh today who asked, tongue in cheek, if the SRGC were making money out of the AGS by providing this platform and publicity for AGS events  :o   The answer is, of course, no! The SRGC is pleased to offer whatever  help and support it can to like-minded clubs .... and this certainly includes the oxygen of  publicity  :)

My apologies to all concerned Maggi ... I didn't enter any plants so wasn't up to date with recent changes re: show secretaries.

It is wonderful that images from shows across the U.K. can be seen on both forums (and, of course, on Alpine_L and other like minded sites) and these postings will surely spread the word about these magnificent alpine gems to gardeners and nature lovers of every persuasion.

Anne, your signature says "horticulturally challenged." I wouldn't know about that but certainly not "photographically challenged." Very nice photos and great (especially for those of us who live in outer darkness :)) to have another picture taker and poster on the Forum. Thanks for your lovely images.

An excellent day at Chesterfield, as always.  Thanks to Geoff Mawson and John Savage and all the gang from the group.
