It's always (well nearly!) deathly silence on the AGS On-Line Discussion ;)

Perhaps everyone who went is having a long weekend and will post midweek?  ::)

Or perhaps they've all had the problem Ian has had in Sweden...... his camera broke down at Peter Korn's yesterday. He hoped it was only a temporary blip, but who knows?  With luck some of the rest of the gang have got plenty pix to share.....though there are less than a dozen on this Gothenburg trip ..... I would have hoped for a bigger turnout in Dorset?!!  ???   By the way - where is Dorset?  ;D

Yep, you must ;D
You need to head due south a long long way until you hit the sea.
Then turn left, not right, (Aberdeen is west of Wimbourne)

I for one hope to see lots of pix from Peter Korns garden - I'm anxious to see what he's been up to and how many tonnes of soil and rocks he has moved since we visited last year   ;D

Didn't make it to Wimbourne myself.. to far out for a hop..  ::)

Ian says today his camera is still kaput.  :'(  He has got photos from the Gothenburg Botanic Garden and a few from Peter's but we need not worry..... Peter Maguire's camera has been working overtime so we can pester him for lots of pix when he gets back!!  ;D ;)

Tomorrow  there is the AGS show at Pershore..... 11th July......Must confess that I get so wrapped up in  the Tour of France Cycling in July that the idea of shows drifts off my radar somewhat!  :-[
Hope all you folks going or showing, Have a great day !!

From the AGS site:
Saturday, 11 July, 2009 - 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm

at PERSHORE COLLEGE, AVON BANK, PERSHORE, WR10 3JP

M5 Jn7 for Pershore; drive through Pershore; college is on right just out of town.

It seems that a Farrer medal was not awarded at Pershore, but Ivan Pinnick from the Isle of Wight won
"best in show" for Campanula raineri 'Gothenburg Form' ...... any more news from Pershore?????

Forgot to take my camera but there were loads of other Forumists there including one who, I was very surprised to find, was not sporting a tie :P

I was also very surprised to find that nearly all of those Forumists seemed to disappear the nearer it got to lunch time ???

Ye gods, really? How standards are slipping..... I do hope it is not an invidious influence gained from European travels....... ::)    Did you not find, however, that this person, while NOT wearing a tie, managed to look as if he were ?
That is to say, he appeared casually dressed, yet still very smart? ;)

As to the thinning of the ranks towards lunchtime ( if you will pardon the obviously inappropriate choice of words) ......that is something which I suspect is liable to happen anywhere Forumists are gathered..... some of them   are quite obsessed with food, y'know! :o

Wasn't Pershore rather a long trip for you, David..... it wasn't a Wednesday, either ? :-\
