OK Olga, now Brno is on my want to travel list :)
I especially liked the fourth picture with the vertical concrete slabs, I do believe that Peter Korn is trying to build something like that.

Zdenek Zvolanek's tiny rock face

Josef ?'s out crop. The house was bought because of a small rocky outcrop that was then excavated and a small trough showing great use of crevicing and various rocks

Large rock crevicing made my Ludek Zvolanek ZZ's brother

Tlatla's rockery

Milan's crevicing taking up the whole garden except for a small strip of grass

I'm not sure if the shows deal excusively with alpine plants, but any plant show would be interesting. Well now, if someone could translate that page, there would be some interesting information.

The best plants for sale there are in Praha, but only in few quantity  :(
In Brno it is very tightly between sets of shelves but the show was wonderful. There were a lot of rare plants (only show plants not for sale). On the show there were a lot of mini rock garden with the vertical stone slabs (something for Per).

On the old forum you can find thread with photos from Prague show. If I find more time tomorrow I prepare some photos from  Brno.

Hello all Rock Alpines friends,
thanks to Mark Smyth I found your discussion about spring Prague show and as I am the author of www.skalnicky.cz, I would like to confirm the precise dates of all the shows in the Czech republic. The exact dates are available at http://www.skalnicky.cz/vystavy.php . I am sorry that the web site is only in Czech language, unfortunately I don´t speak English and even this letter is translated by my daughter. However, I will try to create an English version of this page (about the Czech and Slovak shows) so that it was readable for foreign friends as well.
Just to explain: the www.skalnicky.cz web site is available to all people interested in rock alpine plants and gardening. They are completely non-commercial and made with enthusiasm and love to alpin plants. I can´t create them all in English version as I don´t have money for a translator, sorry.
Good luck with accomodation!
Best wishes Martin Pilny, Prague

Martin, hello and a very warm welcome to the SRGC forum! Thank you very much for takingthe time and trouble to make contact. Thanks to your daughter too, for her help with the translation of your letter... her English is very good!
I wish you a good season's growing in your gardens and hope your shows are a great success, also the Conference, of course.
Best Wishes,
Maggi

Thanks very much for the Brno pictures Ewelina - tell me, is that Phlox_hiberson the real colour - and is that the real name ?? It's a lovely little plant anyway.

Luc,
There is a Phlox douglasii J A Hibberson which is an ice blue/mauve. I think it could be the same as the picture allowing for colour reproduction, although in real life the plant looks even better. How did you manage to read the label, your eyes must be good :)
