Hans - thanks for the wonderful pictures. It's about 25 years since I was on the top of Mt. Ventoux (not on a bicycle!) - nice to see it again. Good source of red wine as well as plants.
Gerry passed away  at home  on 25th February 2021 - his posts are  left  in the  forum in memory of him.
His was a long life - lived well.

Thank you Luc !

I think that in Belgium are also a lot of Cycling fans ( Mure from Huy ) ,....when I see this races .....( p.e. Paris -Roubaix, Fleche Wallone,Gent Wevelgem ...)

Do you know southern France too ?

Your forgetting the Ronde van Vlaanderen - Flandern Rundfahrt ! ;D

Like a lot of Flemish people I am a true cycling fan despite all the problems of the last few years - and a lot of Cols in France are quite familiar to me (Ventoux - Galibier - Iseran - etc... etc...).
The good thing is that on top of these cols there are lots of nice alpines growing as well !!  ;D ;D so not only cyclists to admire !

Maggi,
I knew you were going to be watching the Giro !
(All these good looking Italians with their well formed shaven legs...  ;D ;D )
Have fun !

Lovely to see photos of those landscape and plants, Hans!!

When I was very young, my family once almost got stuck in the middle of a car race on Mont Ventoux! I have very faint memories of the occasion.
I was watching the Giro, now tennis - and the translation for today is about a much less positive side of cycling  :( :( :(

No problem, I need a break, especially as I seem to have caught a bad cold from some oink, which has kept me away from school the past three days. What are 'flu-like symptoms? :o

DSC_0222/3 is Limodorum abortivum; DSC_0246/7 is Cephalanthera damasonium; DSC_0261 is Orchis purpurea and DSC_0265 is O. ustulata. ;D
