Reading your post above I noted that you are in USDA zone 5 which strikes me as tough conditions for Acer palmatum cultivars. Here, and in the UK, harsh winds are the enemy of the acers. I haven't come across this cultivar for sale here in Ireland but it certainly is one I will purchase when the occasion arises. Have you any photographs of it in autumn colour? Paddy
