Primula from garden visit

these two primulas were just amazing, so I thought I'd share them here.  Sorry I can't give the names, but probably the primula fans will be able to.

The second looks like P. sieboldii, no?

Yes, second is P. sieboldii and the first is P. reidii....   a glorious wee thing with a scent to melt the hardest heart.

No 2 looks like P sieboldii 'Snowflake', a very vigorous and floriferous plant.

 A reasonable thought, Giles, particularly because the flowers are of a closed bell shape..... I went for reidii because the calyces are so  palegreen and usually are darker, even blackish under the farina, on wigramianas I have seen.

Well, it doesn't like something .....  perhaps you should buy bottled Scottish water for it, that will be a tonic for a start!

Looking at the photo, I think I do detect quite long leaf pedicels, too.

Sorry folks, I only have the one picture, and I was so intent on getting a picture of those amazing flowers, I totally ignoed the foliage.  Nice to have a name put to it, I'll look for seed when the list comes out, I'd love to grow it.  It was growing very close to the Scottish border, Duddo area to be exact.  That sieboldii was really nice too.  Saw quite a few really good primulas in this garden, most grown from seed from SRGC and AGS, but he sources from other places too.

I've a spare P.reidii - if you would like it, I could post it to you. (PM me your address).
It's a bit slow off the mark (only just coming coming in to growth) so it would be easy to send.
It is likely to be a blue one, though, not white like your picture.
