Yes, we're keeping our fingers crossed for clear skies, too.

To us "down under" the Perseid radiant just skims the northern horizon in the pre-dawn hours - no good for meteor watching, sigh!  :(

I parked myself outside the back door, where I have a great view of Cassiopeia, with Perseus below. So far 12 shooting stars! 8)

Incredibly clear sky full of stars here and I've seen a couple shooting right across the sky - amazing to think people all round the world are star-gazing tonight  ::)

Heavily clouded sky the last two nights so no star-gazing. Besides, heavy rain as well and the ground is sodden, not suitable for lying on one's back. :D

Having read Wyndham's "The Day of theTriffids" when quite young (and impressionable?) I avoid looking at meteor showers ;D
But I still "wish upon falling stars"!

I gave up at 11.45 p.m. because it was too cold (10oCelsius) to sit out in my shorts and T-shirt.
