That's a very small plate or a very l-a-r-g-e set of "oysters".My recollections are of calves oysters, BBQ'd on the blade of a shovel over the branding fire at the end of proceedings.Sweet, tender and very more-ish although I am prepared to admit that probably anything would taste good at that time.

Arykana, very impressive! I remember my mother and father made such preserves etc, and my wife and I tried to follow up but we didn't! Now we buy all jam and other stuff.Is it from your kitchen garden?
