Hi,
Grown from seed from the AGS Seed Exchange as Habranthus martinezii. Checking online it does not look right, more like H.robustus perhaps?
P.s..PaulT if you are reading this, found some of your posts from 2005, absolute WOW to the Tigridia vanhouttei, roll over Dracula sp!!

Habranthus martinezii flowers without it's leaves, at least it always has for me anyway.

Yeah, Tigridia vanhouttei is a cracker, isn't it?

Looked a little more closely at the flower and the tips have a pink blush which seems to tie into H.robustus again?

There's a very good picture of Habranthus martinezii in the new AGS Bulletin, page 231, assuming it is true of course, but the article which contains it is written by John Watson, so I'd say it was pretty safe. Certainly it is leafy at flowering time in the wild.

Friends, I must apologise to you all, and to Chris,  for starting a rash of questions to him: Chris tells me that they are not yet at the stage of a formal list, just putting a few things on Ebay right now. I do hope that he will take note and let us know when the list IS ready, though??!!

A note to all then, many thanks for your interest firstly.
We have small numbers of bulbs / tubers / rhizomes to sell, we are currently using ebay as the numbers are so small as to preclude a formal sales list, many species are bulking up to the numbers where a formal list becomes possible.
Lesley, Yes, this year we will issue a seed list in late Autumn, looking at around £1.00 for garden collected seed and £2.00 for wild collected seed
( Happy to discuss the possibility of bulk seed for anyone in the trade! )
If you have any particular 'wants' from anything you have seen Simon or myself posts please let us either of us know and we will see what we can do.

New information from our S.American expert, this plant looks to be a form of Zephyranthes labufarosea, from some of the pics available when this species is googled, this ties in well with the reflexed petals and flower colouration. Cheers Alberto!
