I love this one when it flowers for me each year.  The flowers appear so quickly, literally out of nothing.    I have two forms here, with slightly different leaves and flowering time.  One I have now for it's first winter in my climate, the other I have been growing for 6 or 8 years.  Absolute neglect seems to be the ideal situation here for this plant.

well Paul, we wait for the photos, I possess also U.epigea, the bulb is always of great dimensions, but I have not had in flower, I hope in the next year

I think this flowers for me about February/March here.  I know I posted some pics back around that time in the southern hemisphere topic.  They have full leaves here now.  One of mine has slightly more upright leaves than the other, and one has slightly bluer leaves than the other.  Flower difference is minimal, but one starts as the other finishes.  Nice extension of the season.

Our two Urginea species are starting to flower now.
Unlike U. maritima, U. undulata is a small size plant, up to 40cm, usually one notice last season's dry leaves before noticing the new flowers.
It is a semidesert/desert species having stunning curly leaves in winter.

It is easy to comper now Alessandro's U. maritima form which is the one that grows in S. Italy and the western Islands of Greece having less flowers per stem and more colorfull, stems generally shorter than the the East Mediterranean populations.

U. undulata to grow also in our Sardinia island, I possess a small bulb of approximately 2 cm of diameter, when I can see its flowers?

It is amazing that U. undulata grows in Sardinia being described as a semidesert plant but than it grows also in SE Spain and i think even in the Balearic Islands.
It is quite a slow grower, I think 5-6 years to flower.
