One of those blue beauties is flowering for me.
I don't have a species name for it but I'm quite happy it has already made two flower spikes.

Thomas, why is yours flowering in July while Hans' flowered in November? I see that there are some differences to the flower, so perhaps another species, but a big difference in flowering time
I don't know very much at all about these lovely plants.

I can't tell whether Griffinia is flowering in certain months, reacting on some kind of care or simply free flowering whenever it feels like.
My plant is kept warm and shaded the whole year but doesn't get any special treatment besides. It grows slowly but steadily without any offsets so far.

Maggi ,
it is impossibly to say without seeing the leaves -maybe Thoams B can compere it with my other Griffinia's
My Griff. rochae is flowering also in this days - like ThoamsB says they flower when they feels like ....
My flower from last year ( November ) is more or less unusual....

My Griffinia looks quite similar to Hans' plant og G. rochae but the younger leaves show some light dots (not as pronounced as in G. liboniana).
The plant Alessandro showed in reply 13 as G. rochae has different leaves though.
