The Snowdrop Company catalouge arrived this morning.

The front (and back) cover has a picture of G. Ronald Mackenzie clearly showing the double yellow markings are not on the outer petals as quoted in last years catalogue.

Black truffles (preserved whole) are £6/jar in Tesco. That should make enough truffle sauce for two fillet steaks (usually one or two truffles about 2 - 3 cm diameter in the jar).

Much better a (bit of) fresh white Truffles in my stomach, than a fresh yellow snowdrop in the stomach of a narcissus fly grub... ;D ::) ;)

Our Colesbourne ordered landed in Canada today.  Three weeks in the UK mail due to the rotating strike.  Now I must wait for them to be mailed to Nova Scotia.

Excellent talk by Philip MacDougall here last night.  He has promised to post some photos of his recent travels to Hokkaido and Taiwan, possibly the Siskyous as well.
