website: Asian Flora
« on: August 05, 2009, 09:53:36 PM »
some of you may know this site--
i find it a bit non-intuitive to navigate! i keep ending up at pages i didnt think i'd chosen, BUT  a little perseverance will get you to pages with collections of asian plants, some really interesting things, such as rubus species with all sorts of different foliage, interesting violets, much more...

Cohan,
Maybe I am too impatient but I can't find even a single violet! Would be glad if you'll tell me the route to catch them!

Gerd

if i can remember..lol
ok--
http://www.asianflora.com/
'enter'
then 'go to asianflora' at top of page
then 'asian plants' in large print at top left of page; this will give you list of images by family

actually last time, i clicked on 'botanical garden' (instead of 'asian plants') then on 'collections'.. and also on 'botanical explorations'..but you will get more pictures the first way, i think

There is an occasional news letter you can sign up for with a lot of great articles some in English but most in French I am afraid.

Cohan, thanks for the information, this is very interesting.
Susan, we should not be afraid of French.....

Cohan, merci de partager cette information, il est très intéressant. Susan, nous ne devrions pas avoir peur du Français.  :D

Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.
