NZ Canterbury lower alpine plant identification.

Looks like a Sedum to me.

It could be Sedum alpestre

Is Sedum alpestre likely to be found in New Zealand? Sedum acre would be a more likely candidate?

Hi Doug . You are venturing into my field of expertise now . Looks like Sedum acre to me and Anthony just beat me to it . We had a few plants flower down this way too

NOT Sedum acre! Never seen them with such shining(glossy) leaves.

I understood it to be Sedum acre. Whatever it is, it has become a major and irradicable weed in Central Otago, and presumably in Canterbury too. As if we needed another one!

I am  consulted plant with Ray Stephenson. It is really Sedum acre.
