Garden Exhibition at Rechberghausen
« on: August 17, 2009, 06:12:03 PM »
Last week we visited Rechberghausen and were amazed by the exhibition. This relatively small Community
made such a fine display and the people with many volunteers were so friendly.
The show is from May to September.
As usual rock gardening and alpine plants were underrepresented, but the other things gave a splendid
display.
The schools made more than 800 different chicken from wood and placed them on a meadow.

Looks like a great setting, Rudi, is it a public park where the community creates this display?  The views across the countryside are terrific and the whole thing looks throughly enjoyable for all age groups - I think it's brilliant to involve local communities in something creative that is on show fpr everyone to enjoy.

interesting event..i agree with robin that its very cool to involve the community rather than just have them as viewers.
