Spent Sunday and Monday visiting Colesbourne,Cerney House, and Rococo Gardens. Wonderful display of various snowdrops at all three. Needless to say, I got tempted and came away with with many plants. Barbara at Cerney very helpful. Any more gardens open locally to me in Sussex.? Jim.

An annual event I keep forgetting to mention is the Northern Ireland Daffodil Group Winter Bulb Show. There will be snowdrops, crocus, iris, other bulbs and a class for hellebore bowls. It's on the last Sunday in February.

I'm p***ed off today!!! The weather forecast was for howling gales and torrential downpours today so I didn't set my alarm to go to Margaret Owen's open day in Shropshire, and turns out there are no gales here and no rain, just grey clouds!! Even last night they were still issuing weather warnings, including flood warnings. Too late to go now.  >:(

Same thing happened to me. I was supposed to be going to Snape Cottage today but we cancelled yesterday as a result of the weather forecast. All we got was a few showers and a cold breeze. Bl***y Met Office, wouldn't trust 'em with an open window and a sprig of sea weed!

Mark

I went to Margaret's tpoday, my first time. A bit cold and muddy but oh! the health of some of those snowdrop clumps! I learned what you meant by the scrum in the shed. Came away with Roulade, Pyramid, and Michael Holcroft. And good soup. These comments are not in any order - probably the soup came first.

Galanthus Roulade. Maybe we need more snowdrops with food names; G. Goulash? Perhaps one of the paler yellows could be christened Sherbert Lemon? :P

Am I right in thinking that Joe's Spring Thing is the 14th March?
