Here's a few pictures from last Saturday's show, held in (unusually!) sunny Stockton.
Firstly, the Farrer medal plant (best plant in the show) a stunning Paraquilegia anemonoides grown to perfection by Mike and Christine Brown

Lionel is probably saying; "Don't look now Don, Diane is over there with her brand new camera - mark my words we'll be on Scottish Rock by Tuesday morning!"
Wonderful images Diane....I've had to miss a few shows, but hopefully back to normal for the next four or five.
Oh for a Paraquilegia of that magnitude!

A few more pictures from Cleveland show - I like the fact that it seems Diana and I would have kidnapped very different plants (if our photos are anything to go by!)

Hi Joakim
Looking at my high res photo they are all Ophrys and from the back of the picture
x heraultii (which is a hybrid of the other two)
tenthredinifera
speculum
All are wonderful, my pictures don't do them justice - I'd love to grow any of them!

Thanks Sue
I do not think that there is any picture that can do justice to the orchids or other flowers, but it is the best thing apart from being there and see them live. So Your pics made it possible for me to see them so they were very helpful
.
The best is naturally to have them in the garden as I could here in Portugal if I had them
In Sweden it would be a lot of trouble or a heated greenhouse that would be there home.
So far I have only seen orchids in Portugal in two places and no orphys. I hope to see some

I must be "in the pink" today... I like the Viola jooi and that wonderful pot of Primula bracteata.
I'm glad to see Corydalis wilsoni, I think it is an under-rated plant which should be grown more.... this reminds me, it was Brian Wilson's Birthday yesterday, hope you had a good day, Brian!
