New garden - new plants wanted

The garden is coming along really well, Ian. I see the little Minty's lack for nothing in the way of nifty toys! Our neighbours two doors down have got a super trampoline for their children and, in return for minding their pet rabbits now and then, we have carte blanche to use it whenever we like! Great fun... and amazing how sturdy it is !!

Had a good day's "plant hunting", then, Ian ? I know Mrs Minty is Irene,,, what about the little Mintys? I am hopeless remembering names!  Now, of course, you'll tell me that Irene is actually Susan!

Hi Maggie, yes I had a really good weekend plant hunting.
Thanks again to the Shaws for their generosity, it shows how friendly a club the SRGC is.
I was feeling a bit guilty about all the plants that I went away with, but Carol told me that that was how they got their garden to where it is now, with the generosity of other club members.
I also got a nice crab apple, Rhodo Bow Bells and some nice trilliums and some meconopsis from the nursery at Dyke.
I also bought some nice hostas from B&Q and I got some candelabra primulas from another garden centre.
The only problem is I have only filled 2 of the bottom corners. I'll see if I can post some more pics tomorrow.

Maggie, you are right with the name it is Irene. The other 3 are Sarah, Emma and Morgan.
Sarah is only 8 and she will soon be the same height as you Maggie. You are right the trampoline is great fun, but I can't wait until about 10 years time and I can get rid of it and dig a pond.

Ian is quite right, we have a lot of our SRGC friends dotted about the garden ( in plant form, of course). It feels good to be able to return the favour.

Hi folks here are some new pics from my garden. It is coming on, but I still have a long way to go.

Here also are some of the hostas that I got from B&Q, they have some lovely variations in the leaf markings.
While I was weeding, I think that I found a seedling of a lovely red tree paeony. I'll post a pic in the next day or two.
Anyone can have it if they want to pop round and dig it up, the seedling that is the tree paeony is a fine mature specimen and is going nowhere.

Wow what a huge garden you have!
I might have a few large cordyline you could have!
I am having a huge garage built in a few months and i have to move alot of plants so i will let you know nearer the time.
I will ask my Mum too she has a truly enormous garden and is a member but she isnt on the net ever so she wont have seen your postings.

Ian, your unkown shrub looks like Fatsia japonica, unless you are talking about the one behind it?
