RHS : Ranunculaceae Day Event in London 14th October 2009

Ranunculaceae Day, 14 October
 The RHS Joint Rock Garden Plant Committee is to host a day devoted to the Ranunculaceae at RHS Lawrence Hall on 14 October.

 Venue:

Lawrence Hall Greycoat Street
LONDON
SW1P 2QD

Speakers to  include:

Brian Mathew - an overview of this beautiful and diverse family of plants

John Drake (National Collection Holder) - Aquilegia species and variants of A. vulgaris.

Dr Chris Grey-Wilson - a range of horticulturally important genera including an extended discussion of Pulsatilla

Peter Erskine: - his experiences of Southern Hemisphere buttercups.

Tickets cost £15 which includes coffee and biscuits. The day begins at 10.00am. To book tickets telephone: 0845 612 1253.

I am SO disappointed that I didn't find out about this very appealing conference until I had other calls on my time ... it appeared quite recently on the AGS site!

RHS is not great at advertising things, Cliff, it must be said.
Anyway, I worry that  the excitment would be altogether too much for you; all those different buttercups and their relatives on the one day!!  :o
