Tulips in April

here are some shots - todays temperature peak 28°C.
Some Tulips like neustruvae and tarda developing no long stems due to unusual heat.

I was resisting starting a new thread in case people thought I was pushy but as you've done so here are some in my garden. Daffs may be withered but it's now Tulip time alright

Tulip - forgot to lift the label - outside
same again inside

'Little Princess'

saxatalis - I think I was told last year this is the wrong name

tschimganica - 'bud', outside and inside

clusiana 'Lady Jane'

clusiana 'Tinka'

clusiana mixed

Maggi, usual yes but if it becomes hot so fast and too dry see what happens... Examples: T.clusiana and T.albertii

Mark, your T.saxatilis could be a T.bakeri.
They look very similar.

It looks a lot like the seedling of aruby a few below.

Mark, I like both Lady Jane and Tinka. Tinka is almost white on your picture. That's why I wrote red/white.

T.bakeri vs. saxatilis: I don't know exactly but taxonomy says T.bakeri is a synonym to T.saxatilis. I also read T.saxatilis is a triploid form (likely from T.cretica & T.bakeri).
The optical difference however are the anthers and pollen from saxatilis are black. T.bakeri pollen is yellow. Both spread by stolons, set not regularly seed.
