Plantago patagonica. This seed was initially vexing to me: the first time I processed the seed, every seed seemed to have broken in half!  But these seeds have a round side and a concave side (not just flat).  And the concave side actually looks like it could be the inside of the seed! (But it is not.)

Plantago patagonica: seeds and open capsules, and with single flower spike.
