The Fritillaria Icones site has ID pix of Fritillaria seed - a useful adjunct to the SRGC's Seed ID pages
The Fritillaria seed PDF has been updated, now with 116 taxa

Thanks Maggi
It is only the beginning yet. I'll keep going although I don't know where I'm heading to precisely.
Too many new pages/images take a lot of 'space' and may slow down my shop in the future.

Nice to see another example of seed id taken seriously!
QUOTE:
This lifesize guide and essential reference reveals the extraordinary beauty, surprising diversity and importance of seeds to an extent never seen before.
True time capsules of life, seeds are significant items of hope and promise. They are the most complex organs plants ever produce, and come in an enormously diverse range of shapes, sizes, and colours; from the impressive coco de mer nut to the microscopic seeds of an orchid, to the extraordinary cobalt blue of the traveller’s palm pit.
Seeds are often overshadowed by the adult plant’s size and show. Here, 600 seeds are spotlit, each given equal attention, each shown as glorious photographs, life size and in detail, alongside an engraving of the parent plant. Every profile includes a population distribution map, a table of essential information, and a commentary revealing notable characteristics, related species, and a diagnosis of the specimen’s importance in terms of taxonomy, rarity, dispersal method, and scientific significance. Arranged taxonomically, this essential reference reveals the variety and importance of seeds to an extent never seen before.

I am greatly indebted to Ohshima Toshiaki for his permission to share here some 260 of his photos of seed, pods and fruit seed pix to the forum. You can see more photos, and read full details of the provenance of the seeds on his website :

Indeed, there is much else of interest in his website too -
