Rick, what sort of photo setup are you using to shoot the seeds?

This is an important addition to our project, thanks to NARGS :
Images from Alexandra Berkutenko's Seed Atlas
The Russian botanist, Dr. Alexandra Berkutenko, just before her untimely death in 2014, completed the very useful and colorful “Atlas of the Plant Seeds of the North Asia” [their translation of the Russian title]. It was published in 2016.
The passing of Dr. Alexandra Naumovna Berkutenko in September 2014 represented a loss for many botanists, horticulturists, and gardeners around the world. Although she lived and worked in the far outpost city of Magadan, in Far Eastern Siberia, as Professor at the Institute of Biological Problems of the North, Far-Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexandra’s reach extended to Europe, the United Kingdom, North America... and probably to the southern hemisphere, as well. Her annual seed list, containing wild-collected seeds from different areas of Siberia, was well subscribed, even into 2014.
Her family (husband, daughter, and son - all botanists) have given NARGS permission to post the photos of the seeds (the text is in Russian) on the NARGS website. They all agreed that it would be "nice if horticulture community enthusiasts will be able to see the results of mother’s work on NARGS website."
Now NARGS has given SRGC permission to post the photos also.
The images of seeds from her book follow.
There are 20 images per page, arranged alphabetically on each page .
The occasional differences in spelling are due to transliteration from Cyrillic; there are also occasional differences in taxonomy (always a moving target).
The images may be enlarged to show the names more clearly. It is intended to add the list of names by degree!
