Posted my form this morning - looking forward to meeting you all there :). As I am not an early morning person I am thinking of going down on Friday so that I can call in at Felley Priory on the way for a few snowdrop purchases. As they only open in the mornings, can anyone suggest a garden/nursery in the area that will be open on Friday afternoon?

Also, does anyone know which plant stalls are likely to be attending?

Vivien, Tony Dickerson from Westonbirt and Kevin Hughes will have stalls, there will also be members' plant stall and a bookstall from Pershore HQ.

Thanks to all concerned in putting on this day and to the exceptional speakers.
The Chesterfield group did get home thanks to a nice young man from the AA!

Thanks to you Luc S and also Luc G for making such a journey to attend, and thanks for your company (and of course, the "Belgian gifts" - Maggi, I believe yours are on the way  ;D  ;D
And thanks to everyone else who attended and made it such a fantastic day.   Glad you got sorted with the AA, Anne and the Chesterfield contingency got home safely.

Ian and I have just had a super morning at Ashwood behind the scenes, and have just dispatched Ian off in taxi to the airport.

Great to hear that you alll had a grand day out  at this event.

What a shame that the Chesterfield Gang had transport problems...... just as well for the AA, it seems ::)    And here was I thinking that it might be the Ferry travellers who might encounter difficulties!

Ian just rang from the airport to say he's off for a read of the papers before his flight home.
More snow here during the day but planes coming and going so that's looking okay right now.... but it might change! :-X

He said  he enjoyed yesterday very much indeed and today he's  had a great visit to Ashwood's and to see John Massey, with Diane. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole shebang, it seems. So kind of Diane to take such good care of him and to go to such lengths to make his vist extra special.... I'm as grateful to her as the BD is!  :-*

It really was an excellent day and the organisation was first class. It was clear a lot of work had been put in to make it a success. It was good to meet fellow forumists, some for the first time and make face to face contact. Lots of new ideas to try and get the bulbs growing better.

Yes - an excellent day out.  Great to meet so many old friends and a few new ones too :)
The warmth of the welcome from locals and visitors ensured that I thoroughly enjoyed presenting my party piece.  The family were busy with friends in nearby Coventry but were delighted to hear that I had managed to include all the girls (and even the cat) in the talk.

The BD was in dynamic form weaving many of the Bulb Log topics into a very informative closing lecture.

Looking forward to seeing the group photo ..... sorry Maggi I had shed the forum fleecy, it was just toooooo warm :-*

Yes the cat is a boy - never meant to impune him so!

With over 100 in the hall we made our own heat in spite of the perishing cold outside.

I was getting a bit worried about the BD getting home when the snow was falling freely all around.... glad to say he has arrived here all in one piece! About an hour's delay but not bad given the weather here!

Belgian treats arrived with him.....deep joy!!
Many thanks to the Channel Hoppers!   :-*
