Now there's an idea Maggi - and then, we could fill up the whole ferry with John Innes compost on the way home !!!  :o ;D ;)

Now I understand why they have so many lakes in the U.K. !

Those of you within striking distance of the Midlands might be interested in the above one day conference on Saturday 30 January 2010. The Birmingham AGS has organised the following programme with an array of well known and very accomplished speakers including our very own BD. Details are as follows and by the way this is just a few hundred yards from Junction 7 of the M6:

Just to let you all know that there are still a few places left. It promises to be a great day so why not join us

The speakers and programme are shown in the following jpegs please click to enlarge.

If you wish to book please send cheque etc to Mrs Kate Page. You will find details on the second jpeg

Jim Archibald is unable to attend the World of Bulbs day for personal reasons.

A poor substitute (Jim was one of the big attractions for me) will be giving a talk on Crocus.  For those who think they may have seen this talk before I can promise a reworked version with many new images including some contributions from forum members.

In the programme shown earlier the 1100 slot will now be:
Tony Goode - 'A Crocus for all Seasons'

Looking forward to seeing some of you there :)

This is very good news Tony.  And, of course, we also have The Great BD  giving a talk on the day.
I look forward to it and hope some of you will join us.

Poor substitute indeed tut tut.  Its great to hear that you will be standing in Tony.  8) With the BD also performing it almost feels like a forum day out

book soon........

I think those of you who are still debating whether or not to attend this event should, in the words of my neighbour's little girl, "get a wiggle on" ...in other words, make your bookings sooner rather than later.... or you may miss out.... and what a great shame that would be. :'(

The cost for the day is so reasonable that it's bruising my parsimonius heart not to be able to take the Birmingham AGS Group up on their deal! :o

I think there may also be an outside chance to see the Chief Croconut (Tony Goode) in his new Forum fleecy.... how can you resist?  ::)

Edit: Diane has given a nice link to the full details, but for those of you who already know you want to go... here is a booking form ready to save and print.... just fill it in and post it!

Posted my form this morning - looking forward to meeting you all there :). As I am not an early morning person I am thinking of going down on Friday so that I can call in at Felley Priory on the way for a few snowdrop purchases. As they only open in the mornings, can anyone suggest a garden/nursery in the area that will be open on Friday afternoon?

Also, does anyone know which plant stalls are likely to be attending?
