What a super day and display it must have been for all concerned. Just as well I was nowhere near the place, with that list of nurseries involved. I see Frazer Henderson ISN'T in the Yemen just now. Just as well.Maggi, is the word "charabanc" still in general use in the UK? I doubt if I've ever heard it here and have always associated it with the time of Sherlock Holmes.
Lesley, Lori.... I have to admit that perhaps my vocabulary is not necessarily a true representation of the vernacular of the day in our fair land..... but charabanc is one of my favourite words and I take the chance to utilise it on any appropriate occasion. To me it conjures an image of a group of factory workers, embarking on a works outing in times past..... full of fun, good company and nonsense.... describes an Aberdeen Group outing perfectly!
