K-D., your plants look very fine and in character. That is a great accomplishment in your latitude.

We were lucky enough yesterday to find a new locality for Romulea linaresii, a species which has only a few known sites in this area of Bulgaria. The habitat was Cistus scrub and the Romulea was growing through moss. The soil was moist, but will be dry in summer.

Simon, have you noticed any variability in color?

Fred , it is still early for this one, here it flowers after snow melts on Mt. Hermon, above 1700m, usually  Mid March-April.

Simon, have you noticed any variability in color?
Oron, it was a small population with only 10 or so plants in flower in an area of 9m2 (I found them by almost treading on them) and they were all the same colour.

I don't know if I should put this in here or on the South African thread but I noticed that a pot of seedlings of Romulea tetragona under the bench had produced a flower. This is a new species for me (and I should point out is an instance of correctly named Romulea seed). I picked the flower so I could photograph it in the sunshine so the pics dont show the distinctive winged leaves. I know this species has been posted before but I feel the reverse of the flower is, if anything, even more attractive.
