Roland that will come in handy as I am in the middle of building a new pond so I need to calculate out how much gallons it holds, perfect timing. Thanks Roland.

Hi Hans, i am proud to be half German, ashamed that I have never been to Germany. But once my old boy goes, oh that's the dog not the husband I am going to make a point of visiting my mums birthplace and visit my relatives. My mum always said it's a beautiful place and I would love the old houses.

Lots of beautifull rain lillies!
Here is a picture of some seedlings and a seed pod of Gethyllis linearis. I recieved two bulbs from South Africa last winter, they had flowerd in the parcel. in the spring one of these seed pods emerged. The seedlings developed in the pod and the parent bulbs remained dormant so I sowed the seeds in the pod. Three months later this second pod emerged. Before sowing it too, I took this picture, apologies for the quality but I think it is interesting. The second lot of seedlings are just showing leaves now. (Almost in season!!)

Yes looks very much like Zephyranthes flavissima
maybe a Zephyranthes flavissima collected at Itajaí ??

Itajaí is a Brazilian city in the state of Santa Catarina.
