Here's what I have as Zephyranthes 'La Buffa Rosea'- we have, over the years discussed various alternative spellings. Alberto Costillo refers to it as a Cooperia which I think has been sunk into Zephyranthes.
Well, the Zephyranthes, Cooperia, Habranthus clan are in a mess right now. It seems some are not so closely related to others as once thought. DNA is revealing some more rascals in the woodpile. So there may well be three genera there, but each of the new ones will probably include various bits and pieces from all these three once someone gets them all sorted out. Alan Meerow worked on this group some years ago, but I've not been following recent developments. So the upshot is, don't take the old assignments to Zephyranthes, Cooperia, or Habranthus all too seriously until the molecular guys finish sorting out who is sister to whom. We should all write our pot labels in pencil. And then there are Sprekelia and Rhodophiala!Jim
