The following 4 cultivars are only listed for completeness. It seems like there are several stocks with different plants in trade, so I can’t be sure if my plants are true to name or not. All are pure yellow with more or less colour in the stem and various petal forms. Perhaps the original collection was made from more than one corm – this would explain the variation and confusion with naming these 4 variants.

‘Afyon’
–Coll. by VV. (no. TW.125555) in Turkey: Prov. Afyon, Kumalar Dag Range, near village Nuh, alt. 1250 m, 12.05.1993. Very early flowering population, likely to be genetically close to C.c. 'Uschak Orange', from neighbouring Usak Province. It starts flowering with us a few days earlier than 'Uschak Orange', often in the third week of January

‘Milea’
– Coll. CH.865 in Northern Greece: Epirus Province, Pindus Range, near Katara Pass, at 1450 m alt., 1987

‘Prespa Gold’
– Originally collected as CH.814 in Rep. Macedonia: Mt Galicica, alpine meadow, 1600-1900 m alt., 15.05.1987.

‘Uschak Orange’
– Coll. in W. Turkey, Prov. Usak, near town of Usak at 900-1000 m alt., in 1971
