Primula euprepes

Would be most grateful for a few seeds of this species.

I managed to find it in one of the Czech seed lists, but unfortunately it was sold out.

so many species....so little time

Kristl, I'm just guessing that there are MANY forumists (yes, I'm included), that would love to get their hands on a pinch of this.... I remember a picture or two....

Thanks Cliff, where has this link been all my life?  This is a great resource.  I looked at just the first two species, P. advena and agleniana, and already my head is spinning (that's not hard with me).  I've seen agleniana (pink form) on one of the travel pages on SRGC, but look at all those color forms.  I include the link to the root photo gallery if anyone wants to spend and hour or ten looking through it.

Pam Eveleigh's fab site, Primula World has been around for quite a while, McMark..... see what benefits you are reaping in your current free floating state?  ;D

I like the characterization of "free floating state" versus "unemployment".  Yes, I'm finding lots of new plantantalizing stuff.  And can go out and actually see crocus when they're open and do some pollen painting :D

Even though Primula World has been around for a while as you say, I assume it is always being added to, a repeat destination to be sure.  One thing that strikes me on the many Primula species, is just how variable many of them are, with lots of color variation.  Even the subject P. euprepes shows a number of shades, but those tomentose black ones are remarkable.

Oh yes, Pam is always busy and welcomes any contributions.
The very darkest black and red prinulas are just TOO delicious ..... I love them dearly...... sadly the weather change and vine weevil combo here has  effectively ruined my collection.  >:( :'(

Krystl, P. euprepes did appear on the SRGC seedlist just past. :P An Australian contact who knows the man says it probably came from Tony Dickerson who was apparently involved in the collection.

It's not immediately obvious from the Primula World site what group P. euprepes belongs to. Any information please?

section crystallophlomis, subsection maximowiczii, Lesley

That's easy to remember ::)  Say "section crystallophlomis, subsection maximowiczii" 5 times fast ;D
I was curiously to know what euprepes refers to, seems an odd name, but found it in Stearn's Botanical Latin, it means comely.

edit:  OMG, just noticed after this posting, I've become a hero!
