Is it possible to grow Gymnospermiums outside in Zone 7 ?See Gymnospermium so often in this forum, I must have them
The third of more grown Gymnospermiums is G. darwasicum, introduced in cultivation by me from Varzob george in Tadjikistan in eighties of last century. At first I wrongly named it G. sylvaticum, which grow in Afganistan and is unknown in cultivation.Janis
There are two Gymnospermiums which I can't to seperate - G. altaicum from Altai mountains in Siberia and G. odessanum from Ukraina and Roumania. The very great distance between both forth to think - they must be different. Between them 3 other species are growing. But in Greece are growing subsp. pelloponesiacum as syubsp. of G. altaicum. I got some seeds of it from Gothenburg BG and now it blooms for the first time. Still small, but nice.Janis
