Sempervivum cultivar ID
« on: April 05, 2010, 01:25:26 PM »
An offset from potted Sempervivum cultivars dropped off into a gravel "drip strip" under the roof overhangs, the semp doing very well there.  I have lost many (most) of my potted semps, so I can't be sure which one it is.  I seem to remember a red ciliate one called 'Maigret'.  Any semp fans out there have an idea of which cultivar it might be?

I was moving pots of Sempervivum before the Hurricane last weekend and at the end of the move found a wayward label "Sempervivum Dr. George Anderson / 1997".  Nowhere can I find a description of that cultivar.  I have Fernwood's book and Sempervivum CD but it is not to be found.  I believe the good man is a Scot but where does this label belong?
