Kew Gardens & Wisley, UK

Hi all!
I just got a phone call this week confirming that I was accepted at Kew, thus spending there, at least, 3 years of my life. I still cannot believe i got in, and I barely cannot wait for this wonderful experience to start!!!
Last month while I went there to the interview, I had the opportunity to see, for the very first time, an amazing show of temperate spring geophytes growing in huge carpets. I've never seen so many Crocuses, Galanthus and Narcissus in my whole life growing like mad, there were literally thousands of blooms and colour splashes throughout the lawns. I also got luck as the Daffodils are a bit late this year, approximately one month later that previous seasons (according to someone that works there) so I really got just in time to see the show. And Kew's alpine house is outstanding, not to mention the rest of the garden and greenhouses and... and...!
I also had the opportunity to visit other places, amongst them Wisley Gardens... And obviously I could not leave the place without purchasing a few potted plants I always wanted to have... And later on, I had to buy an extra suitcase just for the plants (my mother almost killed me, but well worth the risk)!
Here are a few random pictures i took, i hope you enjoy them!
I have a second set of pictures to post soon (mainly Wisley)

Michael, I expect this experience will be a most rewarding one for you and something for which you deserve all our congratulations.
In three years you should get a chance to visit all around the country, too!
Well done!

Well done indeed Michael. You will have such a great time and so many opportunities. And already you are showing some pictures of plants we've not seen before on the Forum. Always keep us posted.
Remember too, that with so many Forum members to visit you need never lack for cake or chocolate.
