Absolutely

but watch out with other weeds they are in the beginning slow
watch out for Allium ursinum and other invasive plants
they overgrow easy the young plants

I'm surprised with your comment, Roland, since 'Night Heron' has survived the 2 last (and severe) winters outside, without any particular protection, in my zone 7A garden...
So did D. cantoniense aureovariegatum, but neither D. sessile nor (alas!) D. smithii...

good pictures with a nice colour
may I use them in my stand
Mine are more pale because they where in the tunnel
all my plants outside died at -12°C this winter
last year -10°C no problem
maybe you had a snow cover
