Sounds interesting - I'm going to try and acquire some here for clematis planting.  Glad you had such a lovely surprise in your garden Erika - it's looking so beautiful in your images.

What a lovely garden! There are so many surprises hidden in this Forum. Our Campanulas are beginning to flower and the irises earlier on remind me that we should really grow more of these, our conditions are just right. I have been a little too hooked on tiny alpines lately!!

Yes, summer is here, the garden is in full bloom, sweet cherry is over, 39 jar preserve  in the storage room, 3 bucket of sour cherry is in the freezer and 6 kg peas as well  ;D, I am exhausted and  have picked the first bowl greenbeans at the morning  ;D

soup, and sauce, strudel, cake and cookies ................... very useful and has more flavor then cherry if you know the good recipe
