Is this a Corydalis ?

Here is a pict of a plant I have found on a trip in the West of Cyprus some weeks ago. It should be a rare plant, so I have seen it only in a very small and dry area.

I have thought that it could be belong to the genus Corydalis, but seed capsules looks different.

Mayby somebody could help with ID

I think that's a Delphinium, or possibly a Consolida, but it really looks remarkably similar to a Corydalis!

could it also be a Linaria?

I agree with Arisaema, that this plant belongs to Ranunculaceae.

But D. caseyi is one of the rarest plants on the island, only known from the north.

The published picts of D. caseyi show more open flowers.

Yes, noticed the distribution was wrong and don't know much about the Mediterranean flora, but figured whatever species do grow on Cyprus would be fairly closely related. D. halteratum looks like a possibility and occurs on Malta, so should be found on Cyprus as well.

Not sure that D. halteratum does grow in Cyprus.....

I have found the answer:

Delphinium peregrinum var. eriocarpum !!!

but sadly it isn`t perennial....

Gerhard.... where do you see any similarity between Delphinium peregrinum var. eriocarpum - a species with lilac- blue flowers, and your dark purple flowered specimen??

The colour in the pict isn`t true. I have great problems with purpur, red and blue, to get them right in the picts with my Nikon D700.
